The production of Razor Wire or Barbed Tape Wire

To produce the barbed tape, barbs of different shapes are punched out of steel strip. The barbed wire consists of the barbed tape and a high-tensile 2.5 mm steel wire. The barbed tape is cold clenched – depending on product type – around the wire forming adjacent loops which are firmly clipped together at 5, 7 or 9 locations per loop. Through the utilization of a core steel wire, the barbed wire achieves an enormous stiffness, which makes it difficult to be cut or compressed.
